Nature and Landscape Itineraries in the Apulia Region of Italy

Walk to Masseria Russoli, historic farmhouse on the slopes of the Murgia tarantina, where donkeys of the precious breed of Martina Franca freely graze among Mediterranean scrub, oak and olive trees. Meet the docile, curious and intelligent donkeys and learn the qualities that have made this breed famous around the world for the production of mules. Next, a walk immersed in the nature of the Terra delle Gravine Natural Park, amid fragrant mastic bushes, meadows rich in wild orchids, including the endemic Ophrys tarentina, foliage of fragments and oaks, up to the monumental olive grove, a real Mediterranean garden.

Distance: about 1 km. Time and duration: 2.5 hours. From Monday to Friday in the time slot 9.00 – 14.00. Difficulty: low. Recommended period: autumn – winter – spring – summer.  Included: guided tour of the farm, donkey breeding and olive grove.
