MTS Micropolitan Transit is an intercity and local door-to-door mobility service designed to connect air and rail service in large cities with micropolitan areas to benefit time-sensitive business travelers, vacationing families, groups and long-distance commuters. MTR is carried out in collaboration with local and regional partners across the United States.
The Knowledge Tourism concept brings together local customs, values and traditions with travel management expertise to experience the historic towns trade routes that shaped America. We design and manage Itineraries for vacations, business travels as well as travel agents and tour operators with a focus on: Cultural Heritage and Local Museums, Local Food Wineries and Breweries, Resources Management and the Environment, Industry and Commerce Itineraries.
Alton is located 25 Miles north of St. Louis amid the confluence of three navigable rivers, the Mississippi, the Illinois and the Missouri, as a river trading and industrial town whose waterfront features concrete grain silos and railroad tracks for the shipping of grains and produce. Once the site of several brick factories, Alton’s streets are paved in brick along with many commercial buildings located downtown. The Great Rivers Region is accessible from six interstates, an international airport and an Amtrak station.

History the French arrived in the 1650s and called Galena La Pointe; the early American settlers who reached the area in 1821 adopted this name as The Point; by 1828, it became the largest steamboat hub on the Mississippi between St Louis and St Paul, with shipments of lead ore and control of the mines by the US Government as local native tribes permitted settlers to mine in established areas in Galena.
U.S. Route 66 also known as the Will Rogers Highway, the Main Street of America and the Mother Road, was one of the original highways in the United States. Established on November 11, 1926, it became one of the most famous roads in America, running from Chicago to Santa Monica California and covering 2448 miles – 3940 Km.

Louisville was founded by George Rogers Clark in 1778 becoming Kentucky’s largest city by 1830.
